-223 BLACK BUNA 70D O-RING

Ordered as H70223, this is an AS568-223 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.609 in (40.87 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.887 in (47.93 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The compound resists greases and lubricants, propane and butane, and hydraulic fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving automotive brake fluid or strong acids call for a different compound.
