Ordered as H2.5X31.5, this is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 31.5 mm (1.24 in), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 36.5 mm (1.44 in). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

This material stands up to propane and butane, many alcohols, and water. Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in polar solvents or ozone and direct sunlight.
