H70374 is an AS568-374 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 9.225 in (234.32 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.645 in (244.98 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists hydraulic fluids, greases and lubricants, and propane and butane. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for low compression set under sustained load, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to ozone and direct sunlight or polar solvents will shorten service life.
