H1X4 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4 mm (0.157 in), a cross section of 1 mm (0.039 in), and an outside diameter of 6 mm (0.24 in). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for low compression set under sustained load, strong abrasion and tear resistance. The compound resists greases and lubricants, petroleum-based oils, and hydraulic fluids. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in strong acids or polar solvents.
