H4.5X42 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 42 mm (1.654 in), a cross section of 4.5 mm (0.177 in), and an outside diameter of 51 mm (2.01 in). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for strong abrasion and tear resistance, low compression set under sustained load. Expect good resistance to hydraulic fluids, many alcohols, and water. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service.
