The H3.5X79 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 79 mm (3.11 in), a cross section of 3.5 mm (0.138 in), and an outside diameter of 86 mm (3.39 in). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Expect good resistance to water, hydraulic fluids, and greases and lubricants. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in ozone and direct sunlight or strong acids.
