H3.5X83 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 83 mm (3.268 in), a cross section of 3.5 mm (0.138 in), and an outside diameter of 90 mm (3.54 in). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The material holds up against petroleum-based oils, propane and butane, and many alcohols. Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Applications involving strong acids or ketones call for a different compound.
