This o-ring is supplied in black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 8.5 mm (0.335 in), a cross section of 1 mm (0.039 in), and an outside diameter of 10.5 mm (0.41 in), catalogued under part number H1X8.5. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and low compression set under sustained load. It resists hydraulic fluids, many alcohols, and greases and lubricants. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where strong acids or automotive brake fluid are present.
