The H2.4X8.6 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 8.6 mm (0.339 in), a cross section of 2.4 mm (0.094 in), and an outside diameter of 13.4 mm (0.53 in). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Expect good resistance to many alcohols, greases and lubricants, and hydraulic fluids. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving polar solvents or ozone and direct sunlight call for a different compound.
