-440 BLACK BUNA 90D O-RING

Ordered as H90440, this is an AS568-440 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.725 in (170.82 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.275 in (184.79 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The compound resists water, hydraulic fluids, and propane and butane. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving automotive brake fluid or ozone and direct sunlight call for a different compound.
