H90M1.5X17 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 17 mm (0.669 in), a cross section of 1.5 mm (0.059 in), and an outside diameter of 20 mm (0.79 in). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for low compression set under sustained load, strong abrasion and tear resistance. The material holds up against petroleum-based oils, greases and lubricants, and many alcohols. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to strong acids or automotive brake fluid will shorten service life.
