H90242 is an AS568-242 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.984 in (101.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.262 in (108.25 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Expect good resistance to water, hydraulic fluids, and propane and butane. Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in ketones or ozone and direct sunlight.
