NU8403-0012 is a Buna-N (Nitrile) U-Cup U-Cup Seal measuring a 1/8 inch inside diameter, a 5/16 inch outside diameter, and a height of 3/32 inch. In service, this u-cup seal seals more effectively as system pressure increases, without added squeeze at rest.

This material stands up to many alcohols, greases and lubricants, and hydraulic fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) offers an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. It is not the right choice where automotive brake fluid or ozone and direct sunlight are present.
