568-029 PTFE ORINGS FDA

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-029 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D built to an inside diameter of 1.489 in (37.82 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.629 in (41.38 mm), catalogued under part number TFE029. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

PTFE (Teflon) offers near-universal chemical inertness and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Expect good resistance to solvents, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature.
