This o-ring is supplied in AS568-035 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D built to an inside diameter of 2.239 in (56.87 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.379 in (60.43 mm), catalogued under part number TFE035. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

PTFE (Teflon) is known for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. The material holds up against steam, solvents, and nearly all industrial chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery are present.
