Ordered as TFE044, this is an AS568-044 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.739 in (94.97 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.879 in (98.53 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) delivers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals.

It sees regular use in food and beverage, chemical processing, and aggressive-media pipelines.
