APG stocks the TFE114, an AS568-114 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.612 in (15.54 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.818 in (20.78 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) offers a very wide continuous service temperature range and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. Expect good resistance to steam, strong acids and bases, and solvents. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Exposure to service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals will shorten service life.
