568-151 PTFE ORINGS FDA

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-151 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D with an inside diameter of 2.987 in (75.87 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.193 in (81.1 mm), catalogued under part number TFE151. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

This material stands up to solvents, steam, and strong acids and bases. PTFE (Teflon) is specified for non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and near-universal chemical inertness. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical and biotech, aggressive-media pipelines, and laboratory equipment.
