TFE156 is an AS568-156 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.237 in (107.62 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.443 in (112.85 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

PTFE (Teflon) is valued for excellent dielectric properties and near-universal chemical inertness. The material holds up against steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and solvents. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Exposure to service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals will shorten service life.

Typical settings include food and beverage, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical and biotech.
