This o-ring is supplied in AS568-269 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D supplied with an inside diameter of 8.734 in (221.84 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.012 in (228.9 mm), catalogued under part number TFE269. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against strong acids and bases, steam, and oxidizing media. PTFE (Teflon) delivers near-universal chemical inertness and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).

Typical settings include semiconductor fabrication, pharmaceutical and biotech, and aggressive-media pipelines.
