568-313 PTFE ORINGS FDA

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-313 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D supplied with an inside diameter of 0.662 in (16.81 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.082 in (27.48 mm), catalogued under part number TFE313. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

It resists oxidizing media, steam, and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is known for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and excellent dielectric properties. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). Applications involving elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery call for a different compound.
