APG stocks the TFE436, an AS568-436 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.85 in (148.59 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.4 in (162.56 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) delivers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. The material holds up against steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and strong acids and bases. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical and biotech, aggressive-media pipelines, and laboratory equipment.
