The TFE465 is an AS568-465 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 17.955 in (456.06 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 18.505 in (470.03 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and strong acids and bases. PTFE (Teflon) is specified for near-universal chemical inertness and excellent dielectric properties. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals.

It sees regular use in aggressive-media pipelines, food and beverage, and chemical processing.
