The TFE920 is an AS568-920 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.475 in (37.47 mm), a cross section of 0.118 in (3 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.711 in (43.46 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

This material stands up to nearly all industrial chemicals, steam, and strong acids and bases. PTFE (Teflon) delivers near-universal chemical inertness and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery.

Common environments for this compound include aggressive-media pipelines, semiconductor fabrication, and chemical processing.
