APG stocks the TFE006, an AS568-006 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.114 in (2.9 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.254 in (6.45 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.
It resists solvents, steam, and strong acids and bases. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is specified for near-universal chemical inertness and excellent dielectric properties. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals are present.
Common environments for this compound include chemical processing, aggressive-media pipelines, and semiconductor fabrication.
Order part number TFE006, sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 1/8 inch. As always, verify media compatibility and operating conditions against the requirements of your specific application. Not finding the exact configuration you need? APG cross-references from prints, samples and competitor part numbers.
