This o-ring is supplied in AS568-007 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D supplied with an inside diameter of 0.145 in (3.68 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.285 in (7.24 mm), catalogued under part number TFE007. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

The material holds up against strong acids and bases, solvents, and steam. PTFE (Teflon) is valued for a very wide continuous service temperature range and near-universal chemical inertness. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. Verify compatibility before use with molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature.
