Part number TFE012 is an AS568-012 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.364 in (9.25 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.504 in (12.8 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against oxidizing media, steam, and nearly all industrial chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is specified for near-universal chemical inertness and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C).
