The TFE014 is an AS568-014 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.489 in (12.42 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.629 in (15.98 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

This material stands up to nearly all industrial chemicals, strong acids and bases, and solvents. PTFE (Teflon) is known for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals.

Common environments for this compound include semiconductor fabrication, pharmaceutical and biotech, and laboratory equipment.
