APG stocks the TFE017, an AS568-017 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.676 in (17.17 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.816 in (20.73 mm). An o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is known for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. The material holds up against solvents, strong acids and bases, and oxidizing media. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature are present.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical and biotech, semiconductor fabrication, and laboratory equipment.
