568-021 PTFE ORINGS FDA

The TFE021 is an AS568-021 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.926 in (23.52 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.066 in (27.08 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

It resists strong acids and bases, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for a very wide continuous service temperature range and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery are present.
