568-026 PTFE ORINGS FDA

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-026 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D built to an inside diameter of 1.239 in (31.47 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.379 in (35.03 mm), catalogued under part number TFE026. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is valued for excellent dielectric properties and a very wide continuous service temperature range. The material holds up against strong acids and bases, steam, and oxidizing media. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Exposure to service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals will shorten service life.
