TFE028 is an AS568-028 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.364 in (34.65 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.504 in (38.2 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is known for a very wide continuous service temperature range and excellent dielectric properties. Expect good resistance to steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and strong acids and bases. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Exposure to service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in aggressive-media pipelines, food and beverage, and semiconductor fabrication.

Stocked as TFE028 and sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 1 3/8 inch. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design.
