The TFE038 is an AS568-038 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.614 in (66.4 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.754 in (69.95 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Expect good resistance to oxidizing media, strong acids and bases, and steam. PTFE (Teflon) is specified for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. Verify compatibility before use with molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery.

Typical settings include semiconductor fabrication, laboratory equipment, and pharmaceutical and biotech.
