Part number TFE041 is an AS568-041 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.989 in (75.92 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.129 in (79.48 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for a very wide continuous service temperature range and near-universal chemical inertness. The material holds up against steam, oxidizing media, and nearly all industrial chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).
