TFE042 is an AS568-042 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.239 in (82.27 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.379 in (85.83 mm). In service, this o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

PTFE (Teflon) delivers a very wide continuous service temperature range and excellent dielectric properties. Expect good resistance to steam, solvents, and oxidizing media. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Exposure to elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in food and beverage, aggressive-media pipelines, and laboratory equipment.
