TFE046 is an AS568-046 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.239 in (107.67 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.379 in (111.23 mm). In service, this o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

The material holds up against nearly all industrial chemicals, strong acids and bases, and steam. PTFE (Teflon) is known for excellent dielectric properties and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Exposure to molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature will shorten service life.

Typical settings include aggressive-media pipelines, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical and biotech.
