The TFE126 is an AS568-126 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.362 in (34.59 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.568 in (39.83 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for excellent dielectric properties and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. It resists steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and strong acids and bases. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical and biotech, semiconductor fabrication, and laboratory equipment.
