APG stocks the TFE132, an AS568-132 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.737 in (44.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.943 in (49.35 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. This material stands up to steam, strong acids and bases, and nearly all industrial chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. Applications involving service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals call for a different compound.
