Part number TFE145 is an AS568-145 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.55 in (64.77 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.756 in (70 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and excellent dielectric properties. It resists nearly all industrial chemicals, oxidizing media, and steam. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service.
