APG stocks the TFE146, an AS568-146 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.612 in (66.34 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.818 in (71.58 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Expect good resistance to nearly all industrial chemicals, steam, and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for excellent dielectric properties and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals.
