TFE147 is an AS568-147 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.675 in (67.95 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.881 in (73.18 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The compound resists solvents, nearly all industrial chemicals, and steam. PTFE (Teflon) is valued for near-universal chemical inertness and excellent dielectric properties. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. Applications involving molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature call for a different compound.
