The TFE149 is an AS568-149 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.8 in (71.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.006 in (76.35 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. It resists solvents, oxidizing media, and nearly all industrial chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals are present.

It sees regular use in laboratory equipment, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical and biotech.
