APG stocks the TFE153, an AS568-153 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.487 in (88.57 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.693 in (93.8 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Expect good resistance to strong acids and bases, solvents, and nearly all industrial chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is specified for non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and near-universal chemical inertness. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Applications involving service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals call for a different compound.

Typical settings include aggressive-media pipelines, food and beverage, and chemical processing.
