568-154 PTFE ORINGS FDA

Ordered as TFE154, this is an AS568-154 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.737 in (94.92 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.943 in (100.15 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

PTFE (Teflon) delivers a very wide continuous service temperature range and near-universal chemical inertness. It resists steam, strong acids and bases, and nearly all industrial chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery.
