Part number TFE158 is an AS568-158 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.737 in (120.32 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.943 in (125.55 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is valued for near-universal chemical inertness and excellent dielectric properties. Expect good resistance to oxidizing media, nearly all industrial chemicals, and strong acids and bases. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service.
