TFE161 is an AS568-161 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.487 in (139.37 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.693 in (144.6 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) offers near-universal chemical inertness and a very wide continuous service temperature range. It resists strong acids and bases, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C).

It sees regular use in laboratory equipment, chemical processing, and aggressive-media pipelines.
