Part number TFE171 is an AS568-171 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 7.987 in (202.87 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.193 in (208.1 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to strong acids and bases, nearly all industrial chemicals, and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is valued for excellent dielectric properties and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid.
