TFE177 is an AS568-177 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 9.487 in (240.97 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.693 in (246.2 mm). In service, this o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

The compound resists nearly all industrial chemicals, oxidizing media, and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is valued for near-universal chemical inertness and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery.
