TFE204 is an AS568-204 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.359 in (9.12 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.637 in (16.18 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for near-universal chemical inertness and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. It resists steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and strong acids and bases. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Exposure to molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in laboratory equipment, chemical processing, and aggressive-media pipelines.
