APG stocks the TFE206, an AS568-206 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.484 in (12.29 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.762 in (19.35 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Expect good resistance to nearly all industrial chemicals, steam, and strong acids and bases. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is specified for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals are present.
